Our Heritage Foundation was formed for the charitable purpose of assisting children in developing nations (primarily Nigeria) with food, clothing, medical supplies, education, scholarships, and affordable housing. The Founders are from Nigeria and were fortunate to have immigrated from Nigeria and achieved success in the United States. They want to carry it forward and support as many children with the basic necessities and educational opportunities, for many of them cannot afford any of the items that we want to contribute.
Nigeria, compared to the United States, is economically poor. Almost 50% of Nigerians live in poverty, and those who do not, survive on $2 per day, due to few opportunities for well-paying vocations. As a result, many families cannot afford to pay for educational opportunities and other items of necessities for their families and children. The Foundation will provide humanitarian aid to families to provide them with basic essentials and underserved children in Nigeria to ensure they receive an education.
The Foundation’s primary objective is to support families and children in Nigeria but we will also provide similar support to low-income families and children within the United States. The Foundation will provide benevolent assistance and humanitarian aid to the underserved in the United States, including providing funds for shelter, food, and water and charitable giving to non-profit organizations in the United States, to ensure the assistance will help the poor and underserved to obtain a better quality of life. Our Heritage Foundation operates primarily out of its office in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.
